And last on the list, we are on the hunt for some lightly speculative novels. Think BLACK MIRROR in book form – something that shows us our world, but with a twist.

We’re especially interested in novels about the dark side of friendship – e.g. SOCIAL CREATURE by Tara Isabella Burton or THE SECRET HISTORY for a new generation

We love a good thriller! If you’ve got a fresh take on the genre, whether that’s a new and exciting character or a different setting, then we want to see it!

From ONE DAY IN DECEMBER, to US, to UNDER THE UDALA TREES and THE NIGHTINGALE. Actually, novels about any kind of relationship, whether romantic, familial or platonic.

Love stories! First loves, last loves, impossible loves, crossed paths and missed connections.

We’d also love to see some dual timeline novels involving secrets and objects from the past, or gothic settings with hints of the supernatural – think MEXICAN GOTHIC and THE FAMILIARS.

We’re also on the hunt for historical novels. Specifically, we’re looking for new concepts offering different perspectives and previously untold stories, preferably set in the 19th or 20th centuries.

SUCH A FUN AGE and QUEENIE are brilliant examples of this!
