In upmarket fiction I'm looking for: relationship stories, coming of age stories, mysteries. My tastes in literary fiction are still quite plot-driven. #mswl

I'm still keen to see psych thriller - as long as it has a killer hook or strong contemporary issue to hang the pitch on. #mswl

Specifically, I'd love some regional crime or some small-town mysteries. I'd also love to see some diversity in my detectives (and as much as I love police procedural, I'd also be keen to read some non-police detective characters!) #mswl

I'd like to see historical mysteries/crime novels, and historical romances. I'm always keen on the gothic and the hidden corners of history. #mswl

I'm very keen on modern history and would love fiction set between 1920 and 1970. I'd love to see more working class historical fiction. #mswl

In historical fiction, I'm looking for unexplored or unusual settings, and characters we don't usually get to hear from. #mswl

I'm always on the lookout for wide-ranging, multi-perspective family dramas (along the lines of Liane Moriarty, or even gentler) - my tastes are very character driven #mswl

I'm also looking for romantic comedies, particularly with flawed protagonists (think: Fleabag, Bridget Jones). I'd also like to see RomComs in professional settings, or in unusual locations. #mswl

I'm keen to see novels about millennials and gen Z characters who are sensitively and authentically drawn. #mswl

I'm also on the lookout for high concept love stories - ones with a strong central pitch. This might be a techy twist, or perhaps something slightly magical or speculative. #mswl

In contemporary fiction, I'm always looking for love stories. At the moment I'm particularly looking for urban love stories and books that play around with 21st century dating culture. #mswl

In general I am looking for contemporary commercial fiction, crime fiction, historical fiction and some up-market/book-club fiction. #mswl
