Going down a YA murder mystery rabbit-hole & I can’t help but wonder what a YA suspense from the killer’s perspective would read like, with readers totally unaware until the end. It would take a crazy level of plotting and imagination to pull it off & have it be a surprise. #MSWL
Mara Delgado-Sanchez 🇵🇷 @little_mswriterAlso would love a story set in/around/inspired by The Alhambra. One of the most breathtaking places I’ve ever been to and so rich with history. There’s a lot of fabric to pull from here for own voices too! #mswl pic.twitter.com/3t9JeEQSCI
I am still looking for this own voices gem, too! #mswl
Mara Delgado-Sanchez 🇵🇷 @little_mswriterI love YA fantasy and I’m looking for diverse stories and #ownvoices here. Where are the Latinx witches and kingdoms? Take me to places based off of cultures like my own, and not like my own. I like contemp, court intrigue, plot twists and tropes (and spins on tropes too) #MSWL
Sharing this again! I’m really craving a high concept YA fantasy right now! Bonus points if it’s a Latinx one. Something that stands out and has strong emotional resonance, as well as complex characters (and character dynamics) #mswl
Rebecca Kuss @reebsthereaderi'm looking for a YA that gives me the same feeling i get when tom holland lifts up his arms and is drenched in water at the exact moment rihanna sings "gonna let the rain fall" (1:29 for reference). in other words, total joy.
My #MSWL page is live! Agents, send me your lyrical or funny picture books, your grim and adventurous MG, and all of your dark, whimsical, and emotional YA. Graphic novels are also welcome 📚 bit.ly/MeriamMetouiMS…
Mara Delgado-Sanchez 🇵🇷 @little_mswriterSince I’m actively acquiring, here’s a bit of my mswl. A couple of things:
1. Diverse and Own Voices stories are always welcome in my inbox
2. Please don’t pitch me on twitter.
3. And of note, I’m only accepting agented submissions at this time!
Agents, here’s my #MSWL as we shift to wfh for a while! Time to get cracking!
#MSWL Would really love some mega queer YA. So long as it's hooky, I'm not super picky about genre (just not huge into high fantasy/high sci-fi). I love being surprised by pitches I might not've normally expected to go for. (A lot of what I bring to acquisitions starts that way.)
Agent V @VeroniKaboomReverse Indiana Jones, where he steals from museums and gives back to the cultures the artifacts were stolen from. twitter.com/nancipants/sta…
#MSWL can you imagine what a cool GN this would be tho
Thao Le (Will Reopen to Queries Feb 10th) @ThaoLe8Any Latinx writers out there ever want to do a retelling of Zorro? Like a gender bent one or a modern one or a fantasy one or something? I would love to see it! #mswl
Serena and Stories @serena_storiesIn Pinto Smauto (G.Basile 1636), Betta refuses to marry any man. She moulds a husband with her own hands and he comes to life. Alas, a queen steals him from her. After many troubles, Betta finds the stolen husband, tricks the queen and goes back home with him.
Caitlyn Averett @craverett#MSWL MG with evil geniuses à la Artemis Fowl. Like, it’s great when kids save the world, but I’d love to see them trying to take over the world, too.
But in a way that makes me root for the main character. I want to *want* them to succeed, no matter their goal.
Still looking for this! #MSWL
