First and foremost, I'm building an inclusive list with a variety of voices and genres. I'm looking for BIPOC authors, queer authors, disabled authors, and generally, authors from historically excluded backgrounds.
I am open to queries once again and would love to build my list up in 2022.

And of course I forgot to add my anti-#MSWL Most of this hasn't changed but things I'm not a good fit for:
Pandemic stories
YA Fantasy
Science fiction set in space
Talking animals
Angels, demons, zombies, mermaids, or pirates
Military or Medical-based stories

In 2022, I will continue to build my list with stories that amaze me from the beginning. I believe that all people deserve to see themselves in books, so above everything I will be seeking stories that showcase diversity. Cheers!
And last but not least...NON-FICTION
If you have a strong platform and love what you do, feel free to pitch me a concept.
I am specifically seeking:
Narrative non-fiction
Business/Social Media/Tech/Cooking books for teens
Here are the ADULT GENRES I am seeking in 2022:
Women’s Fiction
Book Club/Commercial Fiction
Contemporary Romance/Rom-Coms
Non-Political Thrillers/Mysteries/Suspense
Horror
Historical Fiction - with a contemporary feel
I REALLY want to see more characters who are older! I'd love to see more 40+ year-old protagonists who fall in love or finally figure out their shit. I am here for it!
My ADULT wishlist is sparkling & new!
In addition to dark and gritty, I really want to read about people’s joy. I want to laugh and cry with your characters and root for them to the very end. I want to read about people I don’t know, but become my best friend in the end.
🌲Kids who are activists and engage in their community to invoke change
🔪Vengeful and angry main characters
😆Humor with heart
🧶Close-knit family stories with underlying tensions
🗾Big, sweeping adventures
💀Dark and gritty horror full of tension
🐕Rescue dogs
😍Emotion
I REALLY want some COLLEGE-AGE YA! I binged The Sex Lives of College Girls and just adored these characters so much. I want to see diversity, humor, willingness to be messy, friendship, and honesty.
There can be romance, but it doesn't need to be the center of it all.
I really need to be pulled in immediately by your characters--keep me invested by the voice, the tension, the hook. THAT is what I am looking for in a story, no matter the genre. BUT I am seeking some specific things this year...
Now for some fun! A #MSWL 🧵
Let's start with MG and YA...
Other than YA Fantasy...I will be completely open to every genre in MG and YA for 2022!
**Fantasy writers...I do make special requests during pitch contests so keep an eye out for me lurking. Lol.
