Sandstone @quartzenOoo, let's see:
- SFF with room for domesticity, introspection, and relationship-level stakes rather than/alongside apocalyptic stakes, inclusive of non-romantic relationships
- Interesting/experimental story structure
- Marginalized authors using and/or deconstructing SFF tropes twitter.com/FlourishStorie…
Sam B. Farkas @SamBFarkasI hope we'll see more Jewish second-world fantasy. Jewish culture is full of myths and magic that would be fresh and breathtaking in a fantasy setting.
Yes please! #MSWL
Dahlia Adler @MissDahlELama@PJLibrary Definitely more intersectional Jews, especially Jews of color, and Jews who aren't Ashkenazi. Where are the Syrian, Persian, Moroccan, etc.? And I'd love to see more Jewish characters who embrace rather than resent observance. #DiverseJewishKidLit
#MSWL x 1000
👻 nikkee is feeling spookee 🍂 @xonikkeecan we have more about toxic friendships in YA? about how hard it is to walk away from a relationship that might be more intimate than a romantic one? about how toxic friendships can cut you deeper than you could imagine?
R. M. Romero @rmromeroauthorIn certain Jewish folktales, Lilith and other female vampires frequently appear to their victims as beautiful cats in order to charm them.
Conclusion: I will DEFINITELY be the first person to die in that horror movie. #FolkloreThursday pic.twitter.com/6lOntUIxuF
Ask @ryandouglassw, @KatyaDeBecerra, @LizParkerWrites and @2furiosa - I like my YA dark. Horror, dark fantasy, paranormal, ghosts, vampires, werewolves, spirits. Scare me and you’ll win my heart. #MSWL MG, YA, and Adult.
I am so proud to represent MG and YA based on diverse mythologies and cultures like @thebookGLUTTON’s CHARLIE HERNANDEZ AND THE LEAGUE OF SHADOWS, and @KSekouM’s TRISTAN STRONG PUNCHES A HOLE IN THE SKY, but I want more! #MSWL in MG, YA, and Adult.
Stephanie Stein @stephlysteinUpdated my #mswl post to describe exactly what I mean when I say I want another TO ALL THE BOYS... because, duh, I do. manuscriptwishlist.com/mswl-post/step…
Hard yes. #mswl
Rena Bunder Rossner @renarossnerAnd on a final note, #MSWL a thousand times, I want to see immigrant stories in my inbox like @kellyyanghk’s FRONT DESK, and novels in verse or short novels in prose, that are hard hitting, timely and emotionally resonant like @alisonmcghee’s WHAT I LEAVE BEHIND.
We don’t have enough short books that don’t shy away from difficult topics, that don’t talk down to kids and teens who are struggling readers, books that help struggling readers fall in love with literature despite their learning challenges. 100 words can change a life. #MSWL

Kate Brauning @KateBrauningI would love a modern YA Samson and Delilah, any genre. I'd also love an M/M historical, modern, or fantasy retelling of David and Jonathan #MSWL
OMG yes #mswl
