A lot of times - when I'm intrigued by pages - I love to read the synopsis to begin piecing the story together in my head.

Please include your synopsis when you query! If an agent is curious about how your story progresses, this will be the tool that allows them to see said information.#writetip #pubtip #querytip #writingcommunity
The query does not equal the synopsis nor does the synopsis equal the query.
These are two different things.

My protip for this is telling us who your MC is, want they want, how the inciting incident interrupts their wants, and then what are the stakes because of it. What does your MC have to lose?#querytip #amquerying #pubtip
This can help make events feel more linear and most importantly will connect the threads between them.

Query problem number 4 is super common, but tends to reflect a problem with the story itself rather than the query: when plot events feel like a string of vaguely connected events rather than a tight chain of action-and-consequence/cause-and-effect.This is an A+ thread on querying tips, but the below tip stands out to me because I've seen many queries where events can read like a grocery list versus cause and effect.
