Rebecca Kuss @reebsthereaderwhere is my YA indiana jones re-telling that has our mc taking cultural artifacts back from museums and returning them to their countries of origin? minus nazis, plus more kissing #mswl pic.twitter.com/Ql7GNmxFBv
YES YES YES YES. I basically want Killmonger (Black Panther) meets Indiana Jones #mswl
Okay guys, I've been obsessed with #KnivesOut and I'd love to get a YA in a similar vein. I'm thinking more of the fun vibe than super suspenseful mystery. And because I am a trash shipper I'd love maybe some Marta/Ransom vibes with the characters. #MSWL
claribel a. ortega pre-order my book, GHOST SQUAD! @Claribel_OrtegaI too would like to see a big witch boom in YA and I have a new witchy book that is the best thing I’ve ever written just sayin 🤷🏽♀️ pic.twitter.com/RElw898pna
Yes. Yes. Yes. I'm all for witches. In YA, but particularly MG #mswl
I'm pickier with YA lately since it already makes up a large part of my list, but I'm still looking for magical realism, contemporary witches/magic, gothic stories, the influence of modern tech in romcoms, and fantasy or reimaginings that are different and fresh. #MSWL
Wenqing Yan @Yuumei_ArtOld fanart of #SpiritedAway :D Been so busy I haven't had much time to draw new things yet but soooon!
What's you favorite #Miyazaki movie? Mine has always been Princess Mononoke, the intricate story about protecting our environment is truly timeless. pic.twitter.com/xYrDsw3MEW
#MSWL a Princess Mononoke style fantasy about environmentalism and nature. MG, YA, or even Adult.

My current #MSWL is a contemporary fantasy in the vein of Kiki's Delivery Service (MG or YA).
Thao Le @ThaoLe8Am reading Annihilation and now I kinda want a weird nature YA #mswl
I'm still looking for this BTW. Atmospheric, creepy, invasive nature. Not quite right flora fauna. The feeling of something unnerving, watching you from the forest. I love settings that feel like characters, as if they have a motive. #MSWL
Yes, we need dark stories in MG/YA because kids need to have their problems/struggles acknowledged. But please remember to infuse hope. I want less focus on the trauma/suffering and more on successes and healing. Marginalized kids need to know they deserve happy endings #MSWL
Kurestin Armada @kurestinarmadaShion/Sean and Tsubasa have apparently broken up, sooooo love is canceled
In light of this terrible news I need some amazing YA rom like the Tsubasa/Shion relationship on Terrace House. I basically want shoujo manga storylines please #mswl 😭😭😭💔
Lindsey Hall @LindseyHall17#MSWL fantasy w/ a translator protag. There's so much power in language-- how they translate for a ruler effects a whole kingdom, eg. I want to see the nuances & consequences of deciding how & what to translate, word play between languages, times when translation falls short
YES. Also on an adjacent note... I was an ESL student, I'd love to get a contemporary middle grade or YA featuring a MC learning a second language that is not the MC's native language. #MSWL
Gearing up to reopen to submissions (possibly in the next couple of weeks). I want to see more Middle Grade and Contemporary YA! Especially stories from POC and non-binary voices. Please no issue books. I want fully developed plots, strong hooks, and nuanced characters. #mswl
Thao Le @ThaoLe8It's past #MSWL day, but I was just thinking of things I'd like to see... (a thread)
Often in YA the MC is the only bookworm in her circle. What about a whole GROUP of bookworms? Like a squad of bookworm chars? #mswl
