Of course, one of our favorite things it to be surprised. So if you've written a middle grade or young adult novel you're excited about, or an adult fantasy or horror, we'd love to hear from you! #MSWL
Peter Knapp @petejknappHappy New Year! The @ParkandFine children's team is looking forward to 2022, with so many incredible new projects in the works from our talented clients. We're also excited to continue to add new authors to that list. Here's our 2022 manuscript wishlist! #MSWL pic.twitter.com/cD59n0FR2t
We're always on the lookout for literary middle grade that capture the emotional turmoil of growing up. Think WHEN YOU TRAP A TIGER, WHEN YOU REACH ME, THE THING ABOUT LUCK, THE LINE TENDER, etc. #MSWL
Peter Knapp @petejknappHere is what we're hoping to find in our inbox, with the keynote being we're looking for standout stories across genres in MG and YA! #mswl pic.twitter.com/5Gr4cIDCOo
Finally, the thing I didn't know I wanted. I have found that several times in this past year and it has been absolute delight. My clients' creativity always outpaces my own imagination, and I love to be surprised by a book. If it's middle grade of YA, try me! #MSWL
I'm eager for fun middle grade series, humorous or not -- but definitely heartfelt. Sweeping worlds, sweeping adventures, kids wrapped up with gods and monsters and magic. Bonus points for fun animal (or magical-creature) sidekick characters! #MSWL
Peter Knapp @petejknappHard to understand how it'll be August on the other side of the weekend, but nonetheless! I am excited to catch up on all the reading in August and am on the hunt for some exciting projects to sell this fall. A #MSWL thread...
Peter Knapp @petejknappHello, 2021, and hello to writers seeking representation this year. Happy New Year! Here's what I'm looking for...a new year, a new #mswl thread...
Hello, everyone: I did a #mswl tweet at the start of this year, and it's all still true. I'm particularly excited to find YA thrillers and mysteries, and middle grade anything: series, contemporary, fantasy, etc.
#MSWL - literary MG standalone. I'm still thinking of some of my fav reads of 2020 and a lot of the books my mind can't let go of are MG standalone novels, whether contemporary or not. Think THE LINE TENDER, and if you ever want to talk about that book, I'm here. It's SO GOOD.
#MSWL - YA or MG paranormal: vampires, werewolves, oh my! Particularly interested in paranormal from underrepresented points of view and stories that bring something new to the genre. Related: contemp fantasy a la LEGENDBORN, a 2020 fav, too.
Hello! Just a #MSWL reminder as we look ahead to next year: I'm hungry for MG and YA across all categories, and particularly excited to find MG series/SFF/adventure and YA paranormal, contemporary, and thrillers/mysteries...and anything fun & soapy or spine-tingling & spooky!
I want both MG and YA paranormal. And while it doesn’t need to be paranormal romance, let’s be real: I love romance. I love love. So if you’re writing a paranormal romance with a sweeping, high stakes story, I’d love to take a look! #mswl
Peter Knapp @petejknappHeading into fall (my favorite season!), I am excited to find fantastic new books to fall in love with in my submissions pile. Here’s what I’m eager to see… a #mswl thread:
First and foremost: MIDDLE GRADE. I am extremely hungry for a big middle grade series with stellar world building, cool magic, and a strong emotional core. I love my middle grade with lots of heart that works hand-in-hand with the high stakes adventure. #mswl
#MSWL - middle grade or YA graphic novel series, whether contemporary, contemporary with a twist of magic, or fantasy. Especially would love to find a great contemporary series with a great concept.
