#MSWL - MIDDLE GRADE. Any and all middle grade! I am hungry for it: standalone contemporary, sweeping fantasy series, sci-fi, horror, you name it. I’d love something high concept, like CITY OF EMBER, NEVERMOOR, ARU SHAH & THE END OF TIME, etc.

I also love speculative, especially for MG & would love to find something for fans of the AMULET series or something like THE WITCH BOY. And a recent fav was FAKE BLOOD. #mswl

I'd also love a serious MG fantasy series...something dark, dangerous, and with a large canvas and great world-building. #mswl

I'm also dying for more fun & high concept middle grade series, like THE SCHOOL FOR GOOD & EVIL, NEVERMOOR, ESCAPE FROM MR. LEMONCELLO'S LIBRARY, MYSTERIOUS BENEDICT SOCIETY, etc. And as in YA, in MG: monsters. #mswl

In middle grade, I really read quite widely. I'm particularly eager to find ambitious, emotional middle grade reads. Some favs include THE THING ABOUT LUCK; THE THING ABOUT JELLYFISH; HELLO UNIVERSE; the upcoming FROM THE DESK OF ZOE WASHINGTON. #mswl

Still high on my #MSWL is (you guessed it!) middle grade. I'd especially love a really sweeping, high-stakes & action-packed fantasy/contemporary fantasy, and/or something with cozy-magic. And I'm always on the hunt for MG contemporary!

#MSWL - I would love a wilderness story in YA or MG (but especially MG because wilderness stories were so a part of my love of reading at that age).

Oh, and very big on my #mswl as I await cooler weather: YA and MG that feels somehow autumnal! Give me book-form crispy leaves and spiced cider (spiked or not), please. I love good, cozy stories.

#MSWL - YA and MG stories with just that touch of magic. This is something that @EBain does so well!

#MSWL - in YA and MG, I love stories about how we're shaped by our families, and how we fit in with them (or not). I always love a good cry-worthy, heartfelt family moment in a book.

Also on my #MSWL - middle grade where illustrations play a big role, such as THE DOLDRUMS by Nicholas Gannon & THE INVENTION OF HUGO CABRET by Brian Selznick, and funny stuff like THE TAPPER TWINS GO TO WAR or DORK DIARIES.

#MSWL - to stay on the MG series plot, other examples of books I've have loved to work on: ARU SHAH AND THE END OF TIME, THE SERPENT'S KISS, NEVERMOOR.
