I always find it interesting that every sci-fi mil author ends up picking a branch of the military and bases all of the content around that specific branch; one has to wonder why we pick just one branch as our frame of reference, considering how different space combat is.

I’m going to jump off this thread to say that if you have milSF that deals with various military branches and the rivalries between them, I am SO interested. #MSWL

Speaking of #PitDark and #MSWL, does anyone have a thriller as nuanced and developed as the Swedish book/film LET THE RIGHT ONE IN? What that book did for (spoiler alert) vampires I'd like to see your book do for...surprise me.
