#MSWL. As women become more vocal about their experiences, I would love to find some narrative nonfiction that deals with motherhood and the often painful journey women undergo to realize this dream.

Nonfiction: books about food (always!), travel, history, art, and culture. I love to see projects that show the intersections of these topics. For instance, I'd love to see one on food deserts in America and how they disproportionately affect minority communities. #mswl

Fantasy & Sci-Fi: I gravitate towards fantasy that's very much grounded in the real world, and SF that's light on the sci, heavy on the fi. Give me characters I can't let go of with rich world building and a runaway plot. #mswl

Mystery: historical--again, especially diverse historical--cozies, and mysteries with so much atmosphere you can practically wring it out of the pages. If your setting is integral to your story, I want to see it! #mswl

Thrillers: I'm still open to domestic thrillers and psychological suspense, but I'd love to see some that don't feature a somehow "damaged" woman as the protagonist. Where are my ordinary women? #mswl
