As stated on my #MSWL on the official MSWL website and the Metamorphosis website, as far as fantasy I’m really only looking for magical realism and urban fantasy. I prefer low fantasy and if it’s very high concept it’s probably not for me.

For fun - my #MSWL as vibes from songs that I love! (Bonus: A glipse into my many and varied musical tastes.) It might be the lyrics, the music, the video/world or just the whole thing!

Mysteries and thrillers are a category I want to move into (particularly in YA) but I am more drawn to character driven stories than one that focus on a huge plot twist. This will likely be more commercial or upmarket fiction than strict genre mysteries. #MSWL

I would also love to see more Upmarket and Commercial/Women’s fiction (think compulsive book club fiction). I know this can be a broad category, but I am particularly drawn to books that play with power structures, friendship dynamics and odd familial structures. #MSWL

Some tropes I love: enemies to lovers, workplace romance, fake dating, whatever the opposite of small town romance is. I am also down for a supernatural element and love the current contemporary/paranormal mashup we are seeing! #MSWL

I am especially looking for Queer romance and romance featuring disabled people! I have been getting more of these in my inbox but not NEARLY enough. Please send me them. #MSWL

Romance—way more of it! Rom-Coms so funny that make me snort out my coffee, historicals with so much tension I want to pull my hair out, adventure/caper romance that takes me on a nailbiting ride or presents me with a mystery to solve. #MSWL

I wan the snap, crackle and pop of the character chemistry that Sarah J. Maas has in the ACOTAR. And I don't mean the sexy times, but the actual character interactions (side characters and all) #MSWL
