Historical novels both fantasy and realistic—especially overlooked or underrepresented stories in history (though I'm pickier when it comes to 20th century history). Examples of what I'm looking for: DREAD NATION and BLOOD COUNTESS! #MSWL

I’m particularly eager to find voices from historically underrepresented perspectives in adult SF/F and horror, and as a queer man, I am especially drawn to LGBTQIA+ and feminist perspectives for those genres as well. #MSWL

-More underrepresented creators, esp creators of color and disabled creators, telling #ownvoices and stories from the margins that need to be shared. #MSWL

-More stories that show the range of experiences of black and brown people, especially in MG and YA.

I have a heavy focus on #Latinx stories/voices for obvious reasons BUT that doesn't mean I'm not interested in other groups/cultures. I want to support underrepresented voices getting a seat at the publishing table & welcome these stories in all the genres I happen to rep. #MSWL

Fantasy, but make it fresh: unique settings, unusual formats, underrepresented mythology, magical realism, paranormal (yes, paranormal!). I've seen a lot of queries comping to GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE and MY LADY JANE. Keep 'em coming! #MSWL

#MSWL I’m very interested in projects from active duty military, veterans, and their family members. I want to hear your unique story! My brother suffers PTSD from his tour in Afghanistan and I have a soft spot for this underrepresented group of brave men and women.

Hey #MSWL: Am seeking a great love story with dimension, humor, and a strong commercial hook. Think ONE DAY or THE LIGHT WE LOST, but not necessarily a weepy. I am esp eager to read #ownvoices stories or underrepresented narratives in this space.

I'd love to see more contemporary YA focused around friendship struggles rather than romance. Romance is great, but I'd rather have it sidelined in favor of friends. As always, stories by and about the lives of underrepresented voices are best! #mswl
