I watched S1 of DARE ME on the weekend and now I'm desperate for some "bad girl" YA manuscripts. #MSWL

My love for music documentaries has grown during the pandemic—the creative process, how certain musicians/albums/singles react to and influence history and culture.

All this to say, if you’re writing a book proposal for music-related nonfiction, I’d like to see it! #MSWL

I’m particularly interested in a story that explores:

🌀 the commercialization and appropriation of the genre as it gained popularity

🌀 the (racist and homophobic foundation of the) anti-disco movement
