Of course, per previous MSWLs, I’m always interested in elevating underrepresented/diverse voices. In terms of writing, I always am drawn to literary, but am open to more commercial as long as it has strong characters—it’s all about the characters for me!

More characters from underrepresented groups, specifically Black, Indigenous, disabled, neurodivergent characters in all gender pairings.

In all age categories, whether angsty or joyful, I will especially focus on stories written by traditionally underrepresented creators.

I'll always prioritise authors from backgrounds that are underrepresented in publishing - and you don't need to be writing an 'issues' book for me to want to centre your characters and your story. Every kid deserves to see themselves in every type of book.

In Adult Historical Fiction, I'd like to see:
 
- A pre-WWII, mainly Pre-20th century setting
-Multi-Generational storylines
-Previously underrepresented POVs
- Romantic undertones
- Female driven narratives
