I'm working on a big, updated nonfiction #mswl post for my NF writing friends, but, in the meantime, this thread gives an idea of the types of projects I'll be looking for in 2022. Send 'em if you got 'em.

I would be incredibly interested in a nonfiction book examining a purportedly "Western" invention and its actual roots elsewhere (or, a compendium of these!) #MSWL

Nonfiction:
How-to, cookbooks, sustainable living, wellness/beauty, music/film, & memoirs. Looking for strong platforms along with showcasing diversity and an inspiring voice.

I want a plant book! I want a nonfiction plant book that makes it easy to take care of plants at home, in an apartment, ideally, some things that are edible! I can never tell if I'm doing something right with herbs and searching the internet is tiresome...🌱#MSWL

As an acquiring editor and a huge food nerd, I’m looking for cookbook proposals from authors with an established platform! #mswl Recipe writers/testers or literary agents with lifestyle/nonfiction authors, take note 🤞🏼

Nonfiction! Anything with a queer or feminist bent is right up my alley. Think "We Keep the Dead Close"; "In the Dream House"; "Eloquent Rage"; "Know My Name"; and "Romantic Outlaws"

First off, work by BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and/or disabled authors are always welcome in the genres I edit, which includes romance yes, but also mystery and thrillers, upmarket fiction, fiction with fantasy/sci-fi/ speculative elements that are mainstream crossovers, and nonfiction.

I’ve opened to picture books. I’ve missed my PB community. (Go easy on me.)

I’ll be prioritizing authors and/or illustrators from marginalized communities, books with side-splitting humor, and fascinating nonfiction (that’s not a bio).

I like sarcasm and humor. I like nonfiction narratives that read like fiction. I like books that deal with current issues, but that teach you the history of a thing. Have you read IMMUNE by Phillipp Dettmer? Fascinating!
