A nonfiction #MSWL from @jmcgowanbks:
"An adult nonfiction that dives into a fascinating niche or mystery of our natural world. I always find myself thinking of The Sixth Extinction by Elizabeth Kolbert & want to find something that's highly researched but fascinates readers."

In nonfiction, I’d love to see writing about the relationships between people and their places, and CNF that blends research with personal narratives. I especially love pop culture, music, internet culture (women on the internet!), essay collections, etc.

Hello hello, time for a #MSWL tweet!
From @wensday95:
"Gripping, journalistic nonfiction that re-examines a moment in history from a different angle like Patrick Radden Keefe's SAY NOTHING, Erik Larson's THE SPLENDID AND THE VILE, or Garrett Graff's WATERGATE"

I'm a huge true crime fan and lately I've been obsessed with stories of young men who mysteriously vanish from their cars. There are so many of these stories in the true crime world... I'd love to see a fiction or nonfiction project inspired by this phenomenon #mswl

in society and what happens when they step outside of those roles (I focused a lot on my experience in various forms of recreational fighting and combat arts). This is an evergreen topic of interest to me—how society views people and, in return, how we start to view ourselves. /How our identity is shaped by people’s reactions to us. While I’m not currently open to adult nonfiction, I would love to see contemporary fiction that grapples with these same questions in thoughtful, surprising ways, especially from underrepresented perspectives.

My thesis was a collection of research-heavy personal essays titled “Role Play: Essays on Fitting into the World,” which examined the different roles women play /
