And agents, if you have a project that you feel meets the above criteria but have questions, shoot me an email so we can have a meeting and talk books. Or if you did send it to me and I haven’t followed up with you, please shoot me a reminder. 😅 Thanks so much for reading! 💚

My white whale (I have been asking for years!) is an atmospheric traditional contemporary mystery in the vein of Louise Penny and Suzanne Chazin. Bonus points if the author and characters are both marginalized! #MSWL

Because romance is such a competitive and crowded and shrinking marketplace in print, those submissions must have strong, complex, and relatable characters. The hooks must be compelling, the narrative voice must be entertaining, and the pacing has *got* to be just right. #MSWL

For non-fiction, I am looking for prescriptive self-help and health titles that are targeted toward millennial and adult Gen Z readers, as well as marginalized audiences of all ages. #MSWL

Hello, literary agents! It’s been awhile since I’ve done this, so here’s a thread of #MSWL requests, aka the submissions I want to see in my inbox:First off, work by BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and/or disabled authors are always welcome in the genres I edit, which includes romance yes, but also mystery and thrillers, upmarket fiction, fiction with fantasy/sci-fi/ speculative elements that are mainstream crossovers, and nonfiction.

“Nonfiction proposals with an intersectional feminist angle immediately catch my attention. A few issues I’d like to see examined: occupational segregation, equal pay, and emotional labor.” @ceciliaclyra #MSWL psliterary.com/submissions/

Rosiee Thor ~ PREORDER FIRE BECOMES HER @RosieeThor
what if i wrote a reverse romcom where it's a soulmate trope with two aro/aces who both just pretend to be allo and it's a comedy of errors as they do their best to imitate romance until they finally realize they're both aro/ace and they get to high five and be qprs what thenOkay but like this is so #MSWL

I asked Wharton students what they thought the average American worker makes per year and 25% of them thought it was over six figures. One of them thought it was $800k. Really not sure what to make of this (The real number is $45k)#MSWL crossover Non-Fiction re: Financial Literacy & for youngish people. We can call it EARNIN' & BURNIN' and I'm only sort of half kidding here...
I'm so keen to find some fantastic new stories and authors to work with to kick off 2022 in style! Here is my wishlist - I'd love to see your books 📚✍️madeleinemilburn.co.uk/looking-for/ol… #MSWL #amwriting #amquerying #writingcommunity
