Firstly, of course, I'd love some more #ownvoices, and specifically contemporary (rom-coms, perhaps?), like TO ALL THE BOYS I'VE LOVED BEFORE and DUMPLIN' (can never get enough). #MSWL

I'm also all about epic, sweeping fantasies. I'd love to see thoughtfully built, fresh-feeling worlds (bonus points if they contain rich magic systems), inhabited by complex characters. And I'm always excited to see fantasy from diverse voices! #MSWL

A solid #YA or #MG mystery is everything. I really don't want to see the ending coming! But even with a good twist, it HAS to be believable. #MSWL

MG fantasy that echoes the enchantment and wonder of a good animated film, like Coco or anything by Miyazaki. #MSWL

Author/illustrator graphic novels for YA and MG. Something fluffy and with a good romance. I love found family stories and kids finding ways to resist corrupt power structures. A unique visual style and a distinct perspective is essential. #MSWL

Smart, savvy, adult thrillers with a literary voice and crossover appeal. Some speculative aspect is fine. Think Tana French or Lauren Beukes. No cops. No sexual violence. Women, PoC, other marginalized folk would be ideal. #MSWL

YA fantasy that feels grounded in a contemporary setting and focuses on the lives of teens in highly relatable ways but with magical or speculative components. But not ones that feel urban fantasy. It's a narrow window, I know. #MSWL

Contemporary horror/thriller focused on the experiences of POCs. We live harrowing lives and ones that see the world from a different angle. Film/tv has done a great job of catching up to representing those experiences. I want more of it in books. #MSWL

I love a good psychological thriller (Gillian Flynn, Ruth Ware, etc.)--would love to find a teen one that plays with unreliable narrators, unexpected plot twists, etc. #MSWL

In YA, I would love to find a near-future sci-fi in the vein of Black Mirror or Orphan Black. I also just saw the film Ex Machina, which asks incredibly fascinating questions about AI. #MSWL

I love domestic and law enforcement thrillers but do not want espionage. #mswl

Unusual fantasy creatures (trolls, orcs, goblins, etc.) as the MC in an adventure fantasy. Let humans sit on the sidelines for a bit. #mswl.

A little creepiness/paranormal in suspense may be OK, just so the reader can decide what's what. Like Carol Goodman, Sarah Pinborough, S.K. Tremayne. #MSWL
