I've always wanted a book about one of these hidden library apartments. I feel like you could go in a million different directions with it. #mswl

Another #mswl item: A couple of weeks ago, someone mentioned they'd love to see an epic, generational story centered on Chinese immigrants in the American West and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. Do you have that? Send it!

I'm also not the best agent when it comes to the 1960s or '70s, which for some reason never grab me as much. Other than that, I'm pretty open. #mswl

I'm a little tired of "popular" time periods, the Civil War or WWII, unless you have a really new and interesting take on it. A good example would be Rosella Postorino's AT THE WOLF'S TABLE about Hitler's food tasters. There are a lot of Pacific theater stories to tell tho. #mswl

I'm also always interested in deep dives into particular subjects. Think quirky like Mary Roach or food-related like Mark Kurlansky. #mswl

In narrative nonfiction: Books about food, material culture, art, literature, and history always top the list, and I'm particularly interested in projects that explore how many of these topics intersect with race, gender, and politics. #mswl

Lastly in mystery, I'd love to see some diverse cozies land in my inbox. There aren't nearly enough of them, please send more! #mswl

Also, if you have a project that calls to mind Tana French's Dublin Murder Squad series, send it over! #mswl

In mystery, I'm a sucker for stories where the setting is inseparable from the plot / characters. What Attica Locke does in BLUEBIRD, BLUEBIRD and Jane Harper does in the Aaron Falk books, exceptional. #mswl

In romance: I love quirky characters and am far more likely to be drawn to a story that makes me laugh than one that makes me cry. In historical, I really would love to see some diverse stories. Give me South Asians falling in love in London during the Regency, for example. #mswl

Time for some #mswl tweets! Here are just some of the things I'm looking for right now.

In general, I rep adult mystery, romance, women's fiction, some SF/F, and upmarket projects, and love to see historical fiction across all genres. I also rep narrative nonfiction.
