There's a lot of overlap here with my own historical romance #mswl. I have been begging for what feels like forever for a Regency centered on South Asian protags. And a 1950s historical romance? *swoons*
Jenny "MERMAID INN on preorder sale" Holiday @jennyholiCan someone pls write me a Regency called EARLS’ TRIP in which a group of earlfriends goes on a trip to Scotland and encounters a couple feeling to marry in Gretna Green and somehow our hero ends up marrying the lady instead? @kellybowen09? @meganf? Anyone?
In romance: I love quirky characters and am far more likely to be drawn to a story that makes me laugh than one that makes me cry. In historical, I really would love to see some diverse stories. Give me South Asians falling in love in London during the Regency, for example. #mswl
Now for some specifics! In romance, I am particularly interested in historical romances, and would love to see more diversity in my submissions. Let's see the Regency, Victorian, and Edwardian periods through different eyes.
Smart Bitches @SmartBitchesToday, we have a thoughtful guest post on diversity in historical romance. ow.ly/mjEt309PQnZ
