#MSWL Rom-Coms in YA. Always and forever.

For YA fantasy, I am hear queens/assassins/con artist are a harder sell, so give fantasy that is new and different. Like I wanted THE 100 in fantasy. Or the Cold War in fantasy. Rethink the genre. #MSWL

For YA and MG Historical Fiction, voice is key. World building is key. I am less interested in post 1950s historical , unless it is a history I don't know. #MSWL

So my list priorities are as follows:

-YA and MG Graphic Novels
-MG Narrative Non-fiction
-YA and MG Contemporary Fiction

I definitely need a strong psychological YA or thriller. Y'all know by know that Mindy McGinnis is my gold standard. #MSWL

I definitely need more contemporary YA, but I am looking for contemporary that is not the every day setting. Elevate it and allow me to escape for my every day. #MSWL

In both YA and MG, I need more fantasy. Fair warning: I will be picky. I am looking for lush worlds, complex characters, and writing that sweeps me away. #MSWL
