I love historical fiction, but I am picky. Because I want to see a historical voice. I love Ruta Sepetys for this reason. Give me histories I have never seen, give me view points never known. Immerse me in the setting, and culture. #MSWL #YA #MG

In light of my query 0, I am going to do a #MSWL tomorrow. For now, here is a snapshot:
-Fluffy YA rom-com.
-Well-written psychological friendship book (YA)
- Literary-esque but cinematic fantasy YA and MG
- Historical Fiction like @RutaSepetys
- Quirky, Fun, Voicey MG

And finally, some historical fiction is much needed. #MSWL

I absolutely loved the German film THE MARRIAGE OF MARIA BRAUN and would love to see some historical fiction in Germany post war world II. It is because of that movie that I better understood my own Opa. #MSWL

And if you have made it this far in my fan girling, you might have noticed that the genres I DON'T HAVE. Which is why I am looking for:

-Graphic Novels
-Nonfiction
-Historical Fiction
-Magical Realism

In addition to my fantasy and contemporary list. #MSWL

For YA and MG Historical Fiction, voice is key. World building is key. I am less interested in post 1950s historical , unless it is a history I don't know. #MSWL
