I know everyone is saying this, but if I am manifesting anything in 2025 it is this: I want a big high concept book. #MSWL

As any good fantasy nerd, I love fantasy. In MG and YA, but I am picky nowadays. So it has to feel different. But give me high concept stories. Give me beautiful writing. Give me morally complex characters. #MSWL

After hanging at the indie bookstore this weekend, it is really apparent i need more comedy picture books. Fun stories. High concept. #MSWL

4. I want a cinematic, high concept fantasy unlike anything I have seen before. I love unlikable ladies (but they must still be relatable), and I would love a single POV. Character driven is the BEST for me. With literary-esque writing. #MSWL

What I am looking for here is fantasy that is high concept, but beautifully written. All these authors I read in 1 sitting, ignoring everything. I want a fantasy where I ignore the world. Make it stand out and feel like I have never seen these elements before. #MSWL #YA #MG

Speaking of Sabaa, I want cinematic fantasy. What do I mean by that? High concept, sweeping, almost grand like a movie in your head. Sabaa does this wonderfully, but so does Marie Rutkoski, Sarah J. Maas, Tahereh Mafi, Laini Taylor. #MSWL #YA #MG

So with my #MSWL in fantasy I am looking for these elements:
-amazing writing
-fantastic world building
-complex, rounded characters
-high concept plots or explorations of tropes froma new angle

First off, I need high concept. I am not often drawn to the contemporary that could be my everyday life. I need to escape so even if it is a real world setting, it is not my REAL WORLD.
