Also, I really was not a fan of being first gen as a kid. I kind of push backed on German culture because I wanted to fit in with my peers. MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING but MG and #ownvoices for your culture. Because sometimes it is hard being caught between two worlds. #MSWL

And also a friendship break book that also happens to be set in the 90s, and their friendship might be ending because the Spice Girls broke up. But you know... #MSWL #MG

As any good fantasy nerd, I love fantasy. In MG and YA, but I am picky nowadays. So it has to feel different. But give me high concept stories. Give me beautiful writing. Give me morally complex characters. #MSWL

Alrighty, that's all the graphics I have made right now. Remember, these can be MG or YA or in graphic novel form, and marginalized voices are welcome to run with these ideas as well. I actually think some of these might be better explored through those lens!

This next one is a #IYKYK type #MSWL : I love that British narration style--almost Neil Gaiman-esque feel--that features quirky shops. Id' love to see an MG or YA with elements like this.

I am really intrigued by the series EXPLAINED on Netflix. Watching the Tattoo episode now and I think this series would make a inspire MG GN NF book series. #MSWL

In middle grade, I tend to be picky on the voice, but give me entrepreneurial kids. Running a slime ring out of the bathroom? Yeah, I want that. Kid focused business.

I tend to love longer graphic novels for MG and YA #MSWL. Some recent faves have been LILY THE THIEF, GO WITH THE FLOW, PRINCE & THE DRESSMAKER, FEATHER, CITY ON THE OTHER SIDE, GHOSTED IN LA, WITCHY.
