#MSWL 3/5 Page-turning, atmospheric, sharply written #crime, #suspense, #thrillers They're sometimes about family/relationships or social issues or culture but are very much in their genre.

#MSWL 2/5 Novels with an emotional center--the kind that hits you in the heart or gut and sometimes the funnybone. These novels (often #bookclub) don't always have happy endings but they are ultimately hopeful.
