I still have a handful of older queries and submissions to read, but I'm officially open to queries again! Looking for crossover speculative fiction, thrillers and horror with speculative elements, and 2SLGBTQIA+ picture books from authors or author/illustrators! #MSWL
Naomi Davis, Literary Agent (they/them/she/her) @NaomisLitPix#amwriting community: is anyone here both a picture book author or illustrator (or both) AND a dr.a.g performer?
Tagging with #mswl for visibility! Reach out if this describes you.
#MSWL I am open to queries! Looking for Adult and Crossover SFF, and Adult Speculative that blends either WF, horror, literary fiction, or suspense with speculative elements.
Looking forward to seeing your work!
Kritika H. Rao (she/her) @KritikaHRaoWoke up and realized I didn't because it's not that kind of epic fantasy, no swords here, and felt a lot better until it hit me this is debut year and panicked for other reasons 🙃
I love VERY DIFFERENT fantasy. The more genre-bending the better. Kritika's books blend epic fantasy (no swords!) with a touch of sci fi, STRONG sense of place, & strong contemporary relevance. If you're wondering what I mean by "very different fantasy" on #MSWL - add this TBR!
A quick #MSWL for picture books:
I always, always love the intersection of family and food - keep me in mind for these!
But I have some specific desires right now in PBs, related to my own disability experience in myself and my family.
Melissa Caruso @melisscaruSo tired this morning that I misread a flyer from the kids' school as "Are you a high school student interested in summoning the dead to pursue social justice?" and now I want that YA novel, thanks
#MSWL - I think.
Yep, open to queries!
On my #MSWL: adult SFF, MG (particularly fantasy), YA (also particularly fantasy, but I love contemporary too), and PB. I'm looking for exciting new projects and dynamic voices. Surprise the heck outta me.
#MSWL autistic main characters written by autistic authors.
I can see when the research a NT writer has done consists solely of media exposure to, rather than interaction w/ND people.
These authors mean well. But media exposure is NOT enough to write w/o harm to the community.

Sarah Guan @🏡 @Sarah_Guan#mswl: a speculative novel that feels like this exact color—luminous, vivid, never-fading twitter.com/agbioworld/sta…
Absolutely #MSWL - I don't care what the book is as long as I feel this color in my soul!!
Just watched S2E1 of SNOWPIERCER - excited to see what they do with this season!
I love stories like this - claustrophobic settings, impossible decisions, time limits, and global stakes.
#MSWL books that make me feel like that! ^
I open to queries on MONDAY! Here is my current #MSWL.
Adult scifi, fantasy, horror (pref w/speculative elements)
YA Contemporary, scifi, fantasy
I am temporarily CLOSED to adult romance, and PB&MG.
The details (thread):
Mara Delgado-Sánchez is reading subs @little_mswriterThis is my monthly tweet that I would give away my kingdom for a Latinx fantasy #MSWL twitter.com/little_mswrite…
On my #MSWL too! Epic fantasy that broadens the category outside its "typical" settings (read: the European-inspired settings that publishing has poured money into while passing over fantasy from non-white cultures) is fantasy I want to represent.
I would really like an incredibly, joyfully queer sci fi or epic fantasy, please. Like as rainbow and full of gay glee as possible. And fun tech. But also blow stuff up. Also magic. Or aliens.
OR GLEEFUL RAINBOW TECHY MAGIC ALIENS WHO BLOW STUFF UP.
Thinking a little bit about #MSWL tonight! I'm actively seeking Adult SFF. I look for explosively different worlds, intricate politics,new/different presentations of magic,&sci fi that focuses on influence of tech rather than tech itself. Writing quality/originality matters most.
