#MSWL in all the contemporary YA (or MG) I read, I like to see boys being feminists and practicing healthy relationships and consent. ALWAYS queer-positive. I'd also love to see a #nonfiction proposal talking directly to boys about feminism and consent.

I really want an adult ballet contemporary romance or WF. No Swan Lake retellings... I am fatigued on those. LGBTQ+ or neurodiverse welcome and preferred. #MSWL

I am open to select Middle Grade projects - fantasy and contemporary. I want to see really unique characters from backgrounds less-often explored in MG. I definitely want to see LGBTQ+ protags and families, other unexpected family structures, & mental health conversations. #MSWL

#MSWL But I would love adult contemporary romance that challenges the reader to consider race, culture,& religion as characters navigate the relationship. If you think your book will challenge me to look critically at myself and my privileged white perspective, I want to read it.

#MSWL Looking for adult contemp romance: primarily queer or neurodiverse. I really want to focus on queer and/or autistic relationships and show the broad range of experiences that heterocis/neurotypical creators/characters have tons of page space to show already.

#MSWL Would also really love to see more picture book and YA contemporary stories written by Native American/First Nations, Metis, or Inuit creators. Authors or author/illustrators welcome.

#MSWL In YA contemporary, I think some authors think "I went through something that was wild and powerful but I was a strange/uncool kid so probably no one else experienced something similar."

#MSWL queer elements in YA contemporary always a bonus for me, because I am absolutely queer too. Show me teen friendships that influence us for life. Show me connections that fracture in devastating ways.

I desperately want YA contemporary. Powerful female friendships fraught w/tension & drama. An updated YA Girl: Interrupted. Show me how a peer catastrophe in high school truly feels like the end of the world. Validate those moments & their impact.

Also really wanting a YA contemporary story that shows teens in juvenile detention or trying to navigate teen life while on probation. #MSWL

I really love moments when someone you respect makes an offhand comment that affirms your deepest wishes for the perceptions people have of you. It means little to them at that moment, but it fuels you for years to come. Build these into YA contemp stories for me plz! #MSWL
