Alex Arnold @alexyarnoldI’m late to the #MSWL party this week but I can still hang, right? Here’s what I’m looking for right now:
YA of all genres that feature friendships as found families #MSWL
Stephanie Stein @stephlysteinCan I get The Bold Type in YA novel form? Friendship girl gang! Supportive of one another's ambitions! Making big mistakes! #MSWL
#MSWL forever. This is what I always want in YA!
Alex Arnold @alexyarnoldI gravitate most towards magical realism, contemporary realistic, puzzle novels, & quirky/accessible fantasy
Jim McCarthy @JimMcCarthy528Oh! #MSWL Can I please get a YA novel where the characters have jobs and a community of coworkers? Think Empire Records.
This! Because I also want to see teen characters who are not, by default, upper or upper-middle class. #MSWL
Alex Arnold @alexyarnoldLooking for a MG that gives me a crazy amount of feelings. I love MG because as a 12 yr old, you're feeling A LOT for the first time...#MSWL
And I think the best MG fiction makes me look at "basic" human emotions (love, grief, loneliness) anew, through the eyes of a kid. #MSWL
Alex Arnold @alexyarnoldIn life, I have major wanderlust. So in books too, I want to be transported to evocative, authentic settings. #MSWL
Alex Arnold @alexyarnoldAlways very down for unique fairytale/fable retellings that feel lush and sweeping and maybe a little (a lot) sexy. #MSWL
