Contemporary YA! Especially commercial and high concept YA that can be pitched as x meets y. Especially especially a rom com. The next TO ALL THE BOYS I'VE LOVED BEFORE, a younger RED, WHITE, & ROYAL BLUE, etc. Diverse voices!

I'd love to see supernatural & ghost stories, adult or YA. Bring on the eery, haunting, or Gothic. #MSWL

i'm a sucker for a good family story, a good friendship story, and of course some good romance, too, but it's okay if that's not front and center. i didn't date until i was in college, so i know there's more to being a teen than romance! #MSWL

I'm super in the mood for more cozy mysteries, especially those with paranormal or historical elements, and/or queer protagonists. #MSWL

I would love a YA love story with the meet cute of WHEN DIMPLE MET RISHI and Black main characters who have the celebratory feeling of Beyonce headlining Coachella. #MSWL

but to try and be at least remotely helpful (!) i'm always on the lookout for new YA of all stripes, though i have a forever love of contemporary - a fresh take on an every day idea, a twist i haven't seen before, a tearjerker (ideally of the happy kind, but i'll take both) #MSWL

Can you write a great ensemble? Victoria Schwab and Leigh Bardugo are the masters, and I will forever be looking for talent who can write a group dynamic. If Jessica Cluess's HOUSE OF DRAGONS were out, I'd point you to that as a great example. (Look for it in May 2020!) #MSWL
