I am ALWAYS seeking #OwnVoices stories by BIPOC and LGBTQ+ authors, non-western settings, and strong voices.
Last but not least...I don’t normally open for science fiction, but I’m really looking for something in the MG or YA space to knock my socks off. I don’t want anything set in space or with ships. I’ll keep my inbox open to this genre open until the end of February.
Thrillers! MG, YA, or adult. I want to sit on the edge of my seat. I want to question the narrator. If you have something like The Flight Attendant or You, then send away.
I’m jonesing for something unique in MG and YA—think lyrical voice or a unique format.

Dare I post this?? Now that my inbox is back to a manageable level, I have some things I’m really in the mood to read. #MSWL a thread... pic.twitter.com/bxafODtmypI am a complete sucker for teens who are activists. If you have a MG or YA where the kids engage in their community to invoke change, I’d love to see it.

New add to my #MSWL. I'm looking for rom-coms with magical elements or paranormal: witches or nerdy werewolves/shifters come to mind... IOW, something different from what we've seen in paranormal romance in the past + funny & lighthearted. #WritingCommunity #amquerying #amwriting

o man quite fathomable actually @JohannesEvans
hot goth in the woods that keeps answering the door and sighing and going "no, I'm not the witch, he lives over there" and points across the street to a dazzling pretty boy wearing a gold waistcoat who's waving excitedly at themthis happens 268 times a month

I would believe literally any story so long as it takes place in a Waffle House. Waffle Houses exist at the intersection of all dimensions. Anything is possible once you step in.Waffle House as a gateway to alternate dimensions and the goofball teens who meet there is 10000% on my #MSWL

Apropos of nothing, I’m always looking for books that read like fanfic, and I mean that as high praise. Character-forward, written from a place of deep & often joyful passion, in conversation with other media, self-aware about tropes, and pretty damn queer? I’ll take it any day.

I just finished THE OFFICE OF HISTORICAL CORRECTIONS by @daniellevalore and it is the BEST short story collection I've ever read. Sharp, inquisitive, prescient. The writing on a line level is perfection. The stories are expertly-shaped magic. #MSWL
