I would like to see more queries in my Inbox that offer great escapism, both on the adult as on the YA side: horror, thrillers, mysteries, romance. #MSWL .

I am ALWAYS on the lookout for exciting nonfiction projects. Really looking for narrative nonfiction about science, pop culture, and history. Not looking for memoir, (unless you are a well known musician or member of a well known band 😁😎). #MSWL

This is a FABULOUS book: a narrative nonfiction masterpiece. I wish I would get more submissions in that space. Think "Playing Through The Whistle " by S.L Price. #MSWL

My current #MSWL . I am in particular looking for YA Thrillers, Romance, Boarding School settings, and Graphic Novels. On the Adult side, I'd love to see more Popular Science and Narrative Nonfiction, as well as Romance, and Thrillers...but there is more! 😎

I used to do a lot of adult nonfiction: celebrity memoirs, how-to books, popular science, pop culture.

I once taught a film class on Alfred Hitchcock. I would love to see a Hitchcockesque YA, or adult, suspense manuscript. #MSWL.

I would like to see more YA, or MG, graphic novels. #MSWL

I would love to see some contemporary MG. One of my clients, @brooksbenjamin, wrote a book I absolutely love: My Seventh Grade Life In Tights. And THAT book reflects my current MG feels.

Reality sucks, so give me escapism. Send me your adult thriller, your YA thriller, or YA romance, or YA sweet friendship story, or or or. I have enough problems right now, I NEED to escape. #MSWL

My adult #MSWL still hopes for GREAT thrillers & suspense. But IF it's historical, then it must match, re: detectives, the BRILLIANT Leo Wechsler OR Gereon Rath. If modern, it must match Maarten S. Sneijder. So far, I haven't seen a submission worthy of them. Please, send me one.

My #MSWL these days: Fiction: Adult Suspense, YA contemporary (any subgenre), YA and MG Graphic Novels.
Nonfiction: Pop Culture, or Narrative Nonfiction that reads like a novel, but is 100% researched. I remain open to other stuff, but the above is what I really want.

I think genre is important. I would base it on your comparables.

In a query, no. In a synopsis, yes. But I never request a synopsis so please take my advice with a grain, or several grains, of salt.
