I'm just a girl, standing in front of publishing, asking them to publish stories about disabled characters... by authors who have those disabilities. 🙏Yes!! I’m opening to queries on July 1, and I’d love to receive manuscripts with disabled characters! Also #BIPOC & #LGBTQ+. Would especially love indigenous characters/stories. Check out my #MSWL while you wait! manuscriptwishlist.com/mswl-post/cath…

There are a lot of 90s/2000s rom-com leads left. Pining for Bill Pullman. Hoping for Hugh Grant. Hung Up on Harry Connick Jr. (subtitle: Specifically in Hope Floats, Not in Annie with an Obvious an Unsettling Bald Cap)THIS! THIS! THIS!
I DON’T CARE IF I’M CLOSED FOR SUBMISSIONS!!!
If you have this exact thing, reach out NOW and I’ll read it NOW! PLEASE! I’m begging!! Just can’t be too similar to WAITING FOR TOM HANKS, but the same type of theme is what I’m looking for.

#MSWL: I want FULL LENGTH curvy girl, body-positive romance. I’m sick of either not finding them or finding they’re only novellas. I want the steam, the heat, the heart-racing…all of it! I’m still closed to queries, but if you have one and are querying, DM me for a special link.

On that note, if you think your book would be banned in Texas, definitely submit, because you’re probably doing something right. #mswl (4/7)This right here! This is on my #MSWL when I reopen to queries in January!

I am *desperate* for paranormal romance books where the male lead isn't a domineering alpha. No shade if that's your cup of tea -- I'm just looking for my soft monsters. My cottagecore vampires. My 'looks like a cinnamon roll, but could actually kill you' vibes.Oooohhhh!!!! #MSWL as soon as I reopen for queries!!!

#MSWL Same with Science Fiction. I do not read Science Fiction and can't wrap my head around it. Please do NOT send me Science Fiction of any kind.
Literary Agent
#MSWL I should also mention that I almost never read high fantasy. I can't wrap my head around it, so please DO NOT SEND ME HIGH FANTASY. If it doesn't have a firm grounding in the real world, it's an automatic pass for me.

#MSWL Above and beyond everything, a novel that makes me laugh, cry, and/or laugh while crying is always a win. Regardless the genre, I'm drawn to stories that make me FEEL.

#MSWL Also in the #ROMANCE genre, I love having my heart torn apart and then pieced back together again. Think along the lines of Colleen Hoover. #ItEndsWithUs is a great example, but I also loved her early works like HOPELESS.

#MSWL Speaking of #Supernatural, I'm a huge fan of the series and think it would be fun to see something in this vein...a ghost hunters-like story in the vein of Victoria Laurie's Ghost Hunter Series. (Gosh, I loved those books!) and the TV show, Supernatural.

#MSWL #YA: I love RomComs and anything with a ghost-y or #supernatural quality. #LTBTQ+, #OwnVoices and #BIPOC authors are always welcome. I do still like issue-driven YA, but am looking for something super-edgy in this realm.

Effective today, I am officially OPEN TO QUERIES! Before querying me, please go to thepurcellagency.com and look at our submission guidelines. I'll add an #MSWL to this thread, which should also help.
