As authors prep for 2021 so do agents. Thinking about what I want to bring to publishing this year. My focus will be first & foremost books my BIPOC, LGBTQ, & other marginalized creators. #MSWL

I’ve been inspired to put down my book & pick up queries. Focusing on works by BIPOC, Latinx, LGBTQ (esp Trans) authors in fiction & nonfiction #mswl

In fiction I definitely want more upmarket, literary, women's fiction as well as suspense, thriller, and mystery. I'm looking for women's stories, personal growth, friendship stories (a friendship breakup book). #LGBTQ stories and authors #MSWL

Wow! I was thrilled to see not one, but two books featuring trans protagonists in today's @PublishersLunch -- I am actively seeking more trans writers and protagonists for my list. #MSWL

I read a ton of mystery/thriller/suspense submissions as well as women's fiction & I find that I've become increasingly disappointed when the love interest pops in and it's not a LGBTQ character. Where are my LGBTQ characters? #MSWL

I don't get enough psychological suspense from POC and stories about POC. I'd also like to see more LGBTQ psychological suspense. Honestly, this goes for all genres I rep, but right now this is what I'm hungry for #MSWL

I'm also looking for more women's fiction. I'd like mother/child stories (this works in suspense too) and LGBTQ mother/father stories. #MSWL

And of course in fiction I'm still and always looking for mystery, suspense, domestic suspense, women's fiction and mom stories---bonus for LGBTQ characters. #MSWL

I'll be quite honest, I'm tired of the white, male, straight cop. It isn't that I won't read or consider, I'm just bored and I don't want to be bored. Give me the lesbian mother fighting for her child or the POC cop. Give me more women and give me something I haven't seen #MSWL

Give me GONE GIRL (for lack of a better comp) with POC, give me OTHER PEOPLE'S HOUSES with POC, give me the LGBTQ version of BIG LITTLE LIES, give me NEXT YEAR IN HAVANA, give me CRAZY RICH ASIANS #MSWL

I would love to see more POC & LGBTQ characters starring in all of these areas. I want them living their best (or not best) lives, but I'm not as interested in coming out stories as such. #MSWL
