Though I've been dipping my toes into younger children's books lately, the only children's genre I'm actively seeking out is YA. I love a funny contemporary YA novel, a twisty mystery, or a super dark horror novel. Basically, I'm looking for the same genres in adult and YA. #MSWL

I'm a sucker for a locked room mystery. I also enjoy books about doppelgangers, creepy dolls and evil children. #MSWL

I also like commercial mysteries and women's fiction if they have a super funny voice. #MSWL

Mostly, I'm looking for upmarket and literary fiction in a lot of categories, including mysteries, speculative, historical and horror. If you blend some of these genres together--amazing! I also like upmarket and literary fiction that doesn't fall into a genre category. #MSWL

Gimme dark Victorian mysteries and horror, not about Jack the Ripper. This goes for YA and adult. #MSWL

While I do love the classic AND THEN THERE WERE NONE set up, I'd love to get more locked-room mysteries with unconventional settings. #MSWL

For YA, I love mysteries, historical, contemporary, magical realism, psychological/literary horror, contemporary w/ a very light speculative touch. I love funny books, I love serious books. #MSWL

I like books that combine genres. Like I would love a horror western or a mystery with magical realism. #MSWL

What I'm most interested in is fresh mysteries with strong characters. It could be a cozy, a psychological suspense, a police procedural, etc. My mystery tastes are pretty broad. #MSWL

And I like a little genre mixing, so send me your upmarket historical mysteries and psychological sci-fi horror and magical realism retelling of Hamlet. #MSWL

I am a sucker for cat-and-mouse games and locked room mysteries. #MSWL

I said it the other day and I'll say it again, I'd love to get more coming-of-age horror. Though I like coming-of-age mixed with mystery too, like the brilliant novel DODGING AND BURNING. #MSWL

I love me a cozy mystery, so keep the cozies coming. The funnier the better! #MSWL

For YA, I typically go for a contemporary story, though I also like historical and mysteries. #MSWL
