Amanda Jain @wensday95#mswl for my nonfiction writing friends:
*I'm currently devouring Patrick Radden Keefe's SAY NOTHING & would love to find a book in this vein. History or history / true crime that reads like a thriller.
*PopScience that takes a deep dive into a subject. Think SPYING ON WHALES.
The YA version for me please #MSWL
Cass Frances @Cass_Frances_Like, she KNEW men can lie and say trust me, and then be angry at you when you do what you need to do to make sure the man you're with is not a monster.
And she's always cast as the jealous sister, and Psyche as faithless.
And written that way by men.
THIS! I loved Psyche and Cupid as a kid. But yes. Like her sisters are always like "Girl, you haven't seen your husband in the light, HOW do you know??"
And yet, it is framed like they are the bad guys.
Give me a #MSWL that addresses this in a modern way.
Natascha Morris @SoCalledYALifeSo it's 2020 and I need more books so #MSWL pic.twitter.com/ZjqixMORcp
These are some of my top needs (from the graphic):
-MG and YA graphic novels
-Mermaids. *I know what I want so I will know when I see it*
-Elegant Horror. (what does this mean, Natascha? Think THE GRACE YEAR, THE HAZELWOOD, WILDER GIRLS) #MSWL
CBS Sunday Morning 🌞 @CBSSundayAt the Los Angeles County Fair, @conorknighton introduces us to the world of competitive tablescaping - a contest that is equal parts creativity and cutlery, as contestants try to design artful, decorative table settings in a variety of categories cbsn.ws/2sF4qVC pic.twitter.com/2ZXEt1LTI5
#MSWL for MG
Brielle Porter @briellumsYour new comps are your favorite childhood movie + the last book you read. Mine is NEVERENDING STORIES meets SORCERY OF THORNS. I’d read it!
THE LITTLE MERMAID meets DON'T DATE ROSA SANTOS.
Welp that is a total #MSWL
BUT I did love DON'T DATE ROSA SANTOS and would love to find more books in @Nina_Writes and @LauraTNamey wheelhouse. I want an author in their squad if I was to form an author squad for them. (this will make no sense to anyone but me). #MSWL
