Always seeking domestic suspense or psych suspense--would love mother/child stories, LGBTQ stories, stories other than husband/wife would be my preference right now #MSWL

I desperately need upmarket, literary or women's fiction that takes a close look at the opioid epidemic. Maybe a person dealing with a child, spouse, or other who is addicted? Or a family saga ala Bull Mountain #MSWL

I'm still seeking a book that brings me into another culture/country/world I'm unfamiliar with. NEXT YEAR IN HAVANA & CRAZY RICH ASIANS both come to mind #MSWL Could be serious, could be romantic, could be funny.

I'll let the agents @bookendslit pipe in, but for me, I want to see transgender & nonbinary protagonists & characters in adult fiction who are just people, living their normal lives & that it's not about being LGBTQ or other because they are just being. #MSWL

I think it's fair to say that this is a mission for everyone at @bookendslit -- to acquire more LGBTQ authors and books in both fiction and nonfiction, for kids and adults #MSWL #diversebooks

I still want #ownvoices set outside the US of all types, but I'm (at least for now) especially interested in fish out of water #ownvoices which allows the reader to see it through the eyes of an outsider who has been let inside. #MSWL

In returning or traveling to the place we learn about it not just from being there, but through the eyes of someone seeing it for the first time. #MSWL

In thinking about these books more I realized that there is a similarity. Both books feature a fish out of water--a lead character (maybe protagonist) who was not originally from that place but is an American with family from that place (Cuban-American). #MSWL

Two of my top books for 2018 so far are #ownvoices set in countries outside the US (Singapore & Cuba). These are the types of books I want more of #MSWL

As always, I'm thirsty for a cocktail book. Every time I see a new deal for one I get a little sad. Cocktails with fun themes? For women? Stories about drinking? What's your twist? (see what I did there?) #MSWL
