I would love to see more queer fiction--historical, crime, horror. I want it all! #MSWL

I'm looking to celebrate diversity in every way possible: BIPOC, LGBTQ+, ability, etc. #MSWL

Though I've been dipping my toes into younger children's books lately, the only children's genre I'm actively seeking out is YA. I love a funny contemporary YA novel, a twisty mystery, or a super dark horror novel. Basically, I'm looking for the same genres in adult and YA. #MSWL

I enjoy absurd, surreal books, whether they're funny or serious. Bring on the fabulism. #MSWL

I'm drawn to horror that's deeply emotional. I like subtle grounded internal monsters, rather than literal zombies and werewolves. #MSWL

I'm a sucker for a locked room mystery. I also enjoy books about doppelgangers, creepy dolls and evil children. #MSWL

I also enjoy narrative nonfiction, including books that blend memoir with another genre, like memoir + true crime or memoir + a deep dive into the history of a certain phenomena. #MSWL

On the nonfiction side, I'm looking for fresh prescriptive nonfiction with a strong platform. I'm drawn to books made for an underrepresented audience, as long as there's a clear market for them. #MSWL

I also like commercial mysteries and women's fiction if they have a super funny voice. #MSWL

I'm drawn to books that are psychological, whether that means a psychological thriller, a novel with a really strong character, or a narrative nonfiction psychology book. #MSWL

Mostly, I'm looking for upmarket and literary fiction in a lot of categories, including mysteries, speculative, historical and horror. If you blend some of these genres together--amazing! I also like upmarket and literary fiction that doesn't fall into a genre category. #MSWL
