I love books that tackle big subjects, but I also really *really* relish the humorous moments in those stories.

Every author I rep has humor in their book, no matter the topic. And I can instantly think of those moments off the top of my head.

One of my biggest, most important career goals is to bring books (yes, plural) to market that talk about relationship violence in a constructive way for teens. If you have that, please know I am here and waiting for you. #MSWL

I would love a story (I'm leaning toward middle grade) where a student takes on the school dress code. Dress codes are notoriously discriminatory (both sexist and racist) and I would love to see that tackled in fiction. #MSWL

I am grateful for all the projects out in YA right now that deal with sexual assault, but I would really like to see more that highlight the differences in treatment when you aren’t a straight, white, cis, privileged woman. #MSWL

I absolutely believe there is a way to talk about pain honestly and constructively that isn’t exploitative or done by choosing to make the reader a voyeur. This is always what I’m looking for. #MSWL
