I may or may not have been a mermaid in a past life, and I’d love to see interesting and fresh mermaid stories at any age level. #MSWL

MG contemporary novels in the vein of HURRICANE SEASON by Nicole Melleby or AUGUST ISLE by Ali Standish. #MSWL

A sweeping MG or YA fantasy with epic stakes, bold themes, lush writing, and relatable characters. Bonus points for series potential. MG and YA fantasy is always at the top of my #MSWL and in these times, I especially want to lose myself in a smart, well-crafted world.

Q2 2/3 A few things on my #MSWL are: a really up-to-date bodyguard story, stories set in amazing and perhaps unexpected locations (think superyachts or the Orient Express...) and a secret baby story where it’s the heroine who gets the surprise! #UKRomChat

#MSWL In adult fiction I'm looking for:
-LIFE IN PIECES in book form (& ensemble casts)
-something commercial with delicious vacation drama
-characters with an entrepreneurial spirit (again and always)
-clever arc structures and use of form

#MSWL I also want a locked room mystery! I love these anyway and since life is a locked room at the moment, I'd like the opportunity to think about murder. I want it rich and dark and deep, definitely not a cozy, but maybe a cozy dressed up for a really special occasion.

Another #MSWL: something generally uplifting, that makes me believe that humans can sometimes be good. Unlikely friendships, unexpected kindnesses, tragedy that turns into hope. Obviously, I and others want this right now (also, I'll take your reading recs if you have them!)

#MSWL I have wanted this for a long time, but still haven't found it: I want a literary love story with a happy ending. I know, I know, "literary" and "happy ending" don't seem like they go together, but hey, that's the challenge here!
