Expanding on my #MSWL - THREAD:
I want to see wild, original fantasy. So if you're thinking, "Well, my manuscript isn't what ppl typically expect from fantasy... there are no elves or enchanted woods or elemental creatures, but really different fantasy elements..." QUERY ME PLZ

I love certain messages in PBs and am always seeking LGBTQ+ diverse & neurodiverse voices in PBs. But remember: story needs to be written for KIDS who read those books, not the parents/adults, in order for the message to be absorbed. Make it fun AND informative. #querytip #MSWL

Also desperately in need of a fantasy that takes me to an unexpected, far off land. Preferably with LGBTQ+ elements.

Bc apparently I tweet my #MSWL in the middle of the night - looking for this! Would love to see these in both queer/nonbinary, cis/hetero, ace, or any combination of gender/sexuality.

I would love to see YA fiction that shows boys trying to grow up in defiance of toxic masculinity when it's so deeply engrained in our culture. Recognizing it, rejecting it, & making big decisions consciously in relation to that stance. #MSWL

After a discussion about hummus yesterday that led me to use the phrase "hummus in my tummus" I'm really wanting to see picture books with playful words like this. #mswl

#MSWL Scifi or fantasy:I need the world fully explored/experienced by character.Give me color, mood, flavor.Not enough to just see the differences between this world and yours.Let me walk those streets,smell delicacies, be awed by towers, feel winged creature's wind on my face.

A quick note about my #MSWL - I am always excited to read new fantasy,but I am not currently looking for urban fantasy, or anything vampire/werewolf/fae.

I AM looking for new creatures/worlds/magic systems, new structures/societies,or less-often-seen societies made into fantasy.

#MSWL I would really love to see an adult M/M romance where a close friendship just naturally blooms into something so much more, though the characters may not yet have defined their sexual identity to each other. All heat levels.
