Unrelated to all things (people talking about queen’s gambit which I have not seen yet), I would love a fictional #MG or #YA chess book on my list - prose or graphic novel, I just wanna read your chess words #mswl
Susan, A Cabbage Man Graham @GrahamophonesThinking about how chop suey by System of a Down was regularly played in our pep rallies in high school but we weren’t allowed to have water bottles in class bc they thought it would be vodka
This is dated bc I’m 32. But give me this vibe in YA #mswl please
Real talk - I would be into something in my inbox for kids or teens that, if not actively advocating for prison abolition, seriously treats it as an option and a pathway. Fiction or nonfiction. MG or YA. #mswl
My #mswl hasn't changed - still wanting books about clowns & queerness related to trickster figures, still wanting all types of found families, still wanting MG horror & spoop, I would LOVE more picture book illustrators, & a comedic YA protag coping w ED (incidental, not plot).
Susan, A Graham @Grahamophones#mswl the hannah montana movie but with murder and queer kid protags
so I guess like... queer caitlin's way... is that too dated a reference?
Actually thinking back on Caitlin's Way, I LIVED for Caitlin and Griffin's cousin/sibling relationship, that was the good stuff. Gay teens on a ranch with siblings or cousins & there's murder (but not of gays, no gay kids die), please. #ya #mswl
Susan Graham @GrahamophonesI want a witch tv channel. All witches. All the time. Witch network. WitchTV. It can be called The Coven. Or CovenTV. Dot com. Something. Witches. TV.
Linsey Miller is definitely not playing Overwatch. @LinseyMillerI've been thinking about this awhile. YA fantasy with no lust-based romance. Super slow enemies to friends to loves for 2 acespec leads. twitter.com/missdahlelama/…
This thread #mswl
Tess Sharpe @sharpegirlI'd also actually really love to see parents with endometriosis or even a book exploring the fact that it sometimes runs in families.
Susan Graham @Grahamophones#mswl I just had a MIGHTY need to read a YA contemporary about an aspec human who's a dancer- ballet, ballroom, salsa, hiphop? Anything. Pls
Specifically lately thinking about "passion" rhetoric in performance arts & protag rooting themselves outside sex/romance & killing it #mswl
