I feel so grateful for the women I've known who live wholly outside of the desire for male approval. They have male friends. They like men just fine. But they live entirely for themselves and I'm so grateful for those examples.my kingdom for stories with protagonists like these, yesssss #mswl

All this chatter about a vampire (and werewolf) comeback. I have thoughts...I like my supernatural, human-but-not characters. But I’d love some new takes—not the resurrecting of classics that worked the last time around. Let’s see new perspectives get a bite at that apple.
Okay, writers! THIS is what we mean when we say we're open to creatures with a new twist. New styles and storylines of vamps? I'm down for that #MSWL

Yeah this whole thread is #mswl. I'm trying to think about arranged marriages/dates in a vampire family. The church boys my mom tried to throw at me...vampire mama would be uber-meddlesome.

Can you imagine an unfortunate young (born after 1945) Chinese vampire bringing home a Japanese boyfriend when the vast majority of her family lived through World War II? Now, that's a teen vampire romance I'd want to read!I would like this as well!!!!!! #mswl

I remember when I first read @jodipicoult's MY SISTER'S KEEPER, years ago, and it rocked me--such a nuanced, intimate portrayal of the impact of an ethical question/crisis. So excited for the next novel, and please do send me anything you have in Picoult's vein here. #MSWL twitter.com/randomhouse/st…Same. I want impossible choices and situations, for teens. #mswl

After a fantastic chat with @hroot, @tayhaggerty, and the Orbit editorial team this afternoon, I’ve realized that one of my evergreen #MSWL items is “sprawling, deeply messed up, magical families who both love and hate each other, and maybe change the world sometimes.”

I can't tell you how much I say I want to acquire books about friendships, especially how to deal with either growing up and apart or having an incident that breaks the friendship apart. #MSWL twitter.com/Jene_e_edwards…How many times have I asked for this? Give me my friendship breakup book—it hurts at every age. #MSWL

been thinking about how the worst heartbreak i’ve ever suffered was from a friendship breakup, and how that is so rarely explored in YA. i didn’t know how to cope because i didn’t know anyone who had gone through something that intense. we need to fix this.I can't tell you how much I say I want to acquire books about friendships, especially how to deal with either growing up and apart or having an incident that breaks the friendship apart. #MSWL
