I’m watching National Treasure and I want more heist/treasure hunting books, especially YA (and queer.) It’s a genre we should revive.

Today's #MSWL is a heist story. Young adult (like SIX OF CROWS) or adult (like MONEY HEIST), or even MG (for which I can't think of an example)—I want to see the mastermind behind the planning, the action, the drama, the romance that blossoms with danger around every turn!

I often worry about the enormous focus on “high concept” right now in YA and the larger implications of ignoring stories that are “quiet” on the surface but explosive in their power to make you think and feel. The books where “nothing happens but everything happens.” We need them
