#mswl I would really like some old haunted mansions style ghost stories. Particularly thinking James Herbert or Cassandra Khaw's Nothing but Blackened Teeth. The Haunted Mansion bit is key though. I want atmosphere.

I am probably going to open back up to queries before the New Year but I am going to narrow the genres I'm looking for this time. So please consider this my #mswl list (which I will update).

Books set in extreme environments.

#MSWL A thriller set in an isolated town. If it is snowed in, or there is a flood or storm coming, even better.

#MSWL a book about mountain climbing (fiction).

#MSWL a book set in the Arctic/Antarctic. I would be happy to have this as a Historical novel (think explorers).

#MSWL A horror/ sci fi based around cave diving.

#MSWL a book where the MC is both gay and Christian and both parts of their identity are embraced by people around them.

#MSWL I would love a story about viruses (as long as it's not coronavirus- I need some escapism).

I would also love a book based around a volcanic eruption or another natural disaster. But with the focus on disaster management and the action/adventure side of things.

I am slightly obsessed with monster stories (especially if they have giant sharks or squids). Bonus points for romance in your books. And stories set in extreme environments such as the arctic, jungle, caves, ocean, and mountains.
