I really do need more MG. @JoshuaSLevy needs friends. (I mean, he has friends. Just not on my list.) Voicey, plot-driven, strong concepts, heaps of fun or cleverness. Nothing depressing. Heartfelt, yes. But not depressing. #mswl

Middle grade! I have like...one MG author on my list right now and he's lonely. Voicey but high-concept would be super. Clever. Magic. Adventure. Mystery. Just no grief/sicklit books for me. #mswl #mg

I always always love contemporaries (YA/MG) with splashes of extra (sci-fi, fantasy, etc). Just good, commercial hooks. #MSWL

Really hungry for some funny, heartfelt, non-issue-heavy MG, with great family relationships. My list has nothing but room for MG. #mswl

YA and MG with high stakes but nobody dies in the end. Broken hearts. Big decisions. All fine. Just no mass devastation or death. #mswl

I say this a lot but: Contemporary MG and YA with a well-executed, creative splash of something extra (sci-fi, fantasy, etc.) #mswl

Consistent but not “voicey” voices. Kids who have to make hard choices; who act on not just react to the world around them. #mswl #ya #mg
