Yes, I watched Bridgerton; yes, I had a lot of complicated feelings about it; yes, more than anything, it made me want to read fresh and imaginative Austen adaptations (like PRIDE, which I adored!). #MSWL

I read DEAR SWEET PEA last week and fell in love—it was the perfect balm for the stress. I would love to see more MG that balances a sweet and funny voice with more serious themes, and any submissions that could be comped to SWEET PEA! #MSWL

After spending the summer swooning over Jasmine Guillory novels, I'm excited to expand my #MSWL to include contemporary romances in the YA space! Looking for fresh, substantive stories with a great hook and stand-out voice that pull at the heartstrings.

I've read two vivid, poignant, magical middle grades this week, about kids searching for community who confront their fears and find strength and a deeper sense of self on the other side, that have moved me to tears. More, please! #MSWL

I would love to read a YA contemporary with an incredibly strong friendship, a la Amy and Molly in BOOKSMART. Bonus points if the conflict does NOT stem from romance/love interest complications (between the friends or another character)! #MSWL

"Kill your darlings," but make it a suspenseful YA with a heart-stopping twist. #MSWL

I just finished rewatching Avatar: The Last Airbender (A PERFECT SERIES), and would love to see an MG with similar humor/stakes! #MSWL

I'd sell my soul at the crossroads for a Southern Gothic magic-infused MG/YA novel. #MSWL
