Dark fantasy, gothic fantasy, horror-fantasy blends, and stories with subversive religious themes. Think SERPENT & DOVE, WICKED SAINTS, and THE YEAR OF THE WITCHING. #MSWL

Historical novels both fantasy and realistic—especially overlooked or underrepresented stories in history (though I'm pickier when it comes to 20th century history). Examples of what I'm looking for: DREAD NATION and BLOOD COUNTESS! #MSWL

Starting 2019 with this #MSWL: I will drop everything to read a fresh, inclusive Urban Fantasy! Give me a city with magic woven into each building and street!

DIVERSE PARANORMAL AND UF! *SCREECHES* #MSWL

Contemporary fantasy or UF where the stakes aren't cosmic (about saving the world) and the setting feels like a character! (I blame @christineexists for this one). #MSWL

Light fantasy/ Magical Realism where weather or a force of nature is the antagonist. #MSWL
