A delightful conversation with an editor this morning has reminded me of some things I'd really like to see #MSWL:
1. A prison-abolitionist utopian SF novel. Think THE DISPOSSESSED but specifically about restorative justice.
2. A really good first contact book like THE SPARROW.

#MSWL for nonfiction projects about books and authors as well! Caroline Fraser's PRAIRIE FIRES, Anne Boyd Rioux's MEG, JO, BETH, AMY, John Matteson's EDEN'S OUTCASTS, and Deborah Lutz's THE BRONTE CABINET are all great examples of the types of projects I'd love to see.

Special #MSWL call for books about books and our favorite characters. I'd love to see fiction projects like Sarah Miller's CAROLINE or Sarah McCoy's MARILLA OF GREEN GABLES. I'd especially love to see books that re-imagine the classics like Lisa Gabriele's THE WINTERS.
