My favorite vampire movie is THE LOST BOYS, so I'd love to see a toxic vampire bromance. Or siblings at odds with one being a vampire. #MSWL

MG and YA body-centric books. Characters who discover a sport/activity they love, or who feel betrayed by their changing body, or who have to adapt after any kind of body change #MSWL #WishlistWednesday

I'd love to add more #horror to my list for #MG #YA and adult #F. We're due for another rise of vampires soon, aren't we? #MSWL #WishlistWednesday

Ripped-from-the-headlines, true-crime inspired fiction along the lines of Darling Rose Gold #MSWL #WishlistWednesday

I'm also a true crime watcher/reader/consumer...one does not grow up in Des Plaines, IL and not know one's serial killers...so send me those wild ripped-from-the-headlines stories. #mswl

I love books with a great Oh Shit moment, and I'm not afraid of grit and gore. Really, a person can only feel so bad about the things they do to fictional characters. #MSWL

Carlisle Webber @carliebeth · 25 Sep 2019

More than anything else, I want a book to make me feel something. I'm up for all kinds of characters and stories, but it's more important that I'm swept into their story. Scare me! Make me laugh! Make me stay up late turning pages. #MSWL

Carlisle Webber @carliebeth · 25 Sep 2019

#MSWL Lately I seem to be watching a lot of TV centered on brothers (Prison Break, Mayans M.C., Supernatural, etc.) so I would love to see a brothers book. Or a bromance. I like sister books, too. I have two of them. (Sisters, not books.)

For #MSWL day, here's my current list: I am always looking for high-concept commercial fiction for MG, YA, adult. Favorite genres are horror, mystery, suspense, thriller, and contemporary.

In honor of the upcoming season of @MayansFX I'd also love a ms with crime and motorcycles. #MSWL #WishlistWednesday

I'd love a ms that could be a Reese Witherspoon book club pick: contemporary, some darkness, women centric, greater than the sum of its parts. #WishlistWednesday #MSWL

I saw Psycho on the big screen tonight and it makes me think 1: I want more human horror and 2: I also want unhealthy mother son relationship books. Demons I get. People are crazy. #MSWL #WishlistWednesday

Carlisle Webber @carliebeth · 26 Sep 2018

I want a book that turns the idea of "you are responsible for other people's actions" on its head. Because I feel like I hear it so much. #MSWL #WishlistWednesday

Carlisle Webber @carliebeth · 12 Sep 2018

I love domestic and law enforcement thrillers but do not want espionage. #mswl

24/7/365 I welcome #ownvoices. I welcome all and would especially love stories by&about people of color, with disabilities (esp invisible), who have mental illness, who are LGBTQ, or who are economically disadvantaged #MSWL #wndb

Another thing Rhimes does well is create characters where you think, "This person is terrible and I can't wait to see what they do next." I love to read those. #MSWL

Carlisle Webber @carliebeth · 12 Sep 2018

Shonda Rhimes is my Patronus, and I love the way she tells stories. She makes you care about characters quickly and puts in lots of OMG moments. Send me those books. #MSWL
